Monica Pemberton has always believed that technology should be more than infrastructure—a catalyst for transformation, inclusion, and operational excellence. With over 14 years in the association industry and nearly 30 years in technology leadership, she has consistently used IT as a strategic lever to modernize operations, empower teams, and drive mission-focused impact.
As Vice President and Chief Information Officer at the American Council on Education (ACE), Monica leads enterprise-wide technology strategy, cybersecurity, and digital transformation. Before ACE, she served as Chief Technology Officer at the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), overseeing major system implementations and technology upgrades to better serve members and staff.
