SUMMARY:Building a Contingency Plan for an Unexpected CEO Departure
DESCRIPTION:Course Description:  \nNonprofit organizations face many risks that can damage an organization’s hard-earned reputation\, deplete financial assets\, and generally cause operational mayhem. One often-ignored risk is the possibility of an unexpected departure of the “chief staff” position (CEO\, Executive Director\, etc.). Organizations that have risk mitigation procedures and contingency plans in place will fare better than organizations that are caught off guard. \nIn this presentation we will discuss actions and tactics you can use to lower risk and key success. We will discuss how to develop a set of contingency plans and document related action steps for an unexpected CEO departure through assembling basic risk mitigation procedures and tactical applications and documenting them in a formal written contingency plan. We will also discuss the important complimentary differences between organizational succession planning and CEO transition planning. We will conclude with a discussion on appointing an interim CEO allowing for time to work through a thoughtful 10-step CEO succession and transition plan. \n  \nLearning Objectives: \nIdentify key considerations for effectively responding to an unexpected CEO departure. \nAnalyze potential risks that may arise when the CEO position is vacant and how to mitigate these risks both to operational continuity and the organization’s reputation. \nDescribe the essential components of a contingency plan designed to ensure smooth interim operations and communication during executive leadership transitions. \nDifferentiate between organizational succession planning and CEO transition planning\, and explain how appointing an interim CEO supports a structured\, 10-step succession and transition process. \n  \nTo Watch this Webinar on the Media Library CLICK HERE! \n \n

SUMMARY:AI Stewardship: What Association Boards Must Know
DESCRIPTION:Course Description:  \nFiduciary responsibility and the duty of foresight require boards to operate at the center of their associations’ AI decision-making. \nArtificial intelligence (AI) is the most perilous technology paradigm associations have considered for adoption in their history. SUMMARY:AI\, SEO\, and YouTube: A New Playbook for Events and Associations
DESCRIPTION:Course Description:  \nSearch is changing fast. With AI engines like Google’s AI Overviews\, ChatGPT\, and Perplexity now delivering answers directly\, traditional SEO is losing its impact. The sources AI trusts most are not your website\, but platforms like Wikipedia\, Reddit\, and YouTube. \nFor associations and event professionals\, this shift is both a challenge and an opportunity. YouTube has become one of the most frequently cited sources in AI-generated search results — and it’s the one platform your organization can directly control. \nIn this session\, we’ll explore how AI is reshaping search\, why video has become central to visibility\, and how every organization can re-think YouTube as a strategic priority. You’ll leave with a quick start guide to launch or revamp your event or association’s YouTube channel and ensure your expertise shows up in AI search results. \n  \nLearning Objectives: \nUnderstand the AI shift in search — why Google\, ChatGPT\, and other AI platforms are reducing clicks to traditional websites and what this means for SEO. \nIdentify the “Big Three” platforms AI relies on (Wikipedia\, Reddit\, YouTube) and why YouTube is the most actionable for events and associations. \nRecognize the role of video in AI visibility — how short\, structured video clips are increasingly cited in AI answers. \nDevelop a YouTube strategy for your organization — including pre-event\, during-event\, and post-event video opportunities. \nApply a practical quick start guide to either launch a new YouTube channel or optimize an existing one for search and AI discovery. \n  \nTo Watch this Webinar on the Media Library CLICK HERE! \n \n
