9:00 AM – 9:50 AM: DCAA Compliance with Microsoft Dynamics 365
Course Description
This session provides a practical roadmap for high-growth government contractors and product
resellers who rely on the Microsoft stack. We will demonstrate how standard Microsoft
Dynamics 365 (including Business Central) can be configured, integrated, and enhanced with
industry-specific solutions to meet and exceed the rigorous standards set by the Defense
Contract Audit Agency (DCAA). The focus will be on leveraging integrated, automated
financial systems to ensure compliance with the FAR, manage complex contract types (like
Cost-Plus and T&M), and maintain the data integrity necessary for a successful audit, allowing
firms to focus on scaling operations and winning more bids.
Learning Objectives
- Identify Core DCAA Requirements: Define the essential accounting system criteria
required by the DCAA for certified contractor status and understand how these translate
into system configuration needs.
Translate FAR/CAS to Dynamics: Explain how specific industry add-ons integrate with
Microsoft Dynamics 365 to automate compliance with the Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
Optimize Contract Accounting: Describe best practices for managing complex
contract types (e.g., Cost-Plus, Time & Materials) within Dynamics 365 to ensure
accurate labor recording, indirect cost allocation, and audit readiness.
Support High-Growth Audit Readiness: Evaluate system capabilities needed to
streamline financial operations and maintain data traceability, enabling rapid scaling
while minimizing financial risk during a DCAA audit.

10:00 AM – 10:50 AM: Developing CMMC Compliant Programs: Integrating Industry Standards into Your Microsoft Tech Stack
Course Description
- This critical session provides technology and finance leaders with actionable strategies for achieving and maintaining compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework. We will move beyond abstract policy discussions to focus on the technical and non-technical implementation strategies, oversight and automation, cybersecurity risk reduction, and cost management associated with securing Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Beth Leonard will discuss how to strategically position your organization’s compliance program and existing Microsoft technology stack—to create an audit-ready environment, minimizing compliance gaps and building resilience against evolving threats.
Learning Objectives
-
- Developing Compliant Cybersecurity Programs: Describe best practices for integrating cybersecurity standards (NIST 800-171/CMMC) into internal Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programs as the foundational building blocks to protecting data and CUI.
- Map CMMC Requirements: Identify the specific CMMC controls that can be directly addressed and automated using features within the Microsoft Tech Stack when building out your Microsoft Government Cloud (GCC/GCC High) environment.
- Evaluate Migration Strategy: Assess the technical and budgetary implications of migrating controlled data to GCC High to meet DFARS and CMMC requirements for federal contracts.
- Implement Risk Management: Describe effective approach to evaluating and managing organizational, IT, and cybersecurity risks and issues.
- Cybersecurity Automation for Compliance: Explain how to use native Microsoft tools to monitor, manage, and provide auditable evidence of continuous compliance to support more effective protection of data.

11:20 AM – 12:10 PM: Six (6) Essential Tips for Navigating Mergers Acquisitions (M&A) in Government Contracts
Course Description
This session, “Six Essential Tips for Navigating Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) in Government Contracts,” provides practical guidance for legal and compliance professionals involved in transactions with federal contractors. Unlike commercial deals, government contract M&A requires navigating unique regulatory requirements and risks. The presentation covers critical considerations such as conducting government contracts-focused due diligence, understanding novation requirements, evaluating small business and socioeconomic status impacts, managing organizational conflicts of interest, addressing cybersecurity compliance, and mitigating successor liability exposure. Attendees will gain insights into structuring transactions to maintain compliance, minimize risk, and ensure a smooth post-closing transition.
Learning Objectives
- Map CMMC Requirements: Identify the specific CMMC controls that can be directly addressed and automated using features within the Microsoft Government Cloud (GCC/GCC High) environment.
- Evaluate Migration Strategy: Assess the technical and budgetary implications of migrating controlled data to GCC High to meet DFARS and CMMC requirements for federal contracts.
- Implement Risk Management: Describe best practices for integrating cybersecurity standards (NIST 800-171/CMMC) into internal Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) programs.
- Leverage Native Tools: Explain how to use native Microsoft 365 and Azure tools to monitor, manage, and provide auditable evidence of continuous compliance.

1:00 PM – 1:50 PM: The Copilot Era: Innovate with AI Agents
Course Description
This session explores the next wave of AI Agents. Presented by a Microsoft expert, this course demonstrates how GovCon organizations can move beyond basic Copilot features to build, deploy, and govern intelligent agents capable of performing multi-step, workflow-driven tasks across Dynamics 365, the Power Platform, and Microsoft Fabric. Participants will learn how these agents can be designed to automate critical business processes unique to government contracting, such as critical data aggregation, proposal drafting assistance, and tracking complex compliance requirements, ensuring secure and auditable deployment across the enterprise.
Learning Objectives
- Differentiate Agentic AI: Distinguish between simple AI features and complex AI Agents, and articulate the strategic value of deploying workflow-centric agents for GovCon operations.
- Architect Agent Solutions: Explain how the Power Platform (specifically Copilot Studio) can be leveraged to build and govern secure AI Agents that interact with sensitive ERP and CRM data.
- Identify GovCon Opportunities: Pinpoint key government contracting business processes (e.g., invoice reconciliation, proposal knowledge lookup, cost pool reporting) that are ideal candidates for agent-driven hyper-automation.
