Sharon Kneebone

Sharon Kneebone, IOM, FASAE, CAE, is the Executive Director for the American Academy of Pain Medicine and AAPM Foundation and has more than 18 years of executive management experience as an AMC Executive Director, In-House Services Executive Director, and stand-alone chief staff executive. She has led organizations through critical transitions, from restructuring staff, overhauling operations, implementing virtual workforces, and shaping strategies to drive growth. The National Society for Histotechnology reversed financial deficits and restructured governance during her tenure. Sharon has served in governance, component relations, and membership program-specific roles. As a speaker, mentor, and author, she is committed to advancing the profession by sharing my knowledge and fostering the next generation of association leaders. Her specialties include strategic planning, leadership development, financial management, and aligning operations with long-term strategy.
