W472: Measure What Matters: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility and Belonging (DEIAB)
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
When it comes to measuring success in the realm of diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging (DEIAB), it’s important to “measure what matters.” Organizations can use a variety of metrics to track progress, such as employee engagement surveys, demographic data, and retention rates. However, there are also significant obstacles to accurately measuring DEIAB success, including unconscious biases and resistance to change. To make meaningful progress, it’s crucial to identify these roadblocks and develop practical action plans that prioritize DEIAB initiatives. By taking a learning approach and continually reevaluating metrics and strategies, organizations can create a culture of inclusivity and support that benefits all team members.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- – Understand what success looks like in terms of DEIAB initiatives
- – Explore metrics organizations use to measure DEIAB success
- – Identify key obstacles in DEIAB success measurement and best practices for moving forward with practical action plan to make meaningful progress
