Understanding the Digital Ecosystem: Using New Technology
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Like most associations, for decades ASAE has had a traditional technology, AMS-centered stack as the core of their business systems infrastructure. Two years ago, ASAE started to explore alternatives to the traditional model, and now in 2022 are beginning the rollout of a new suite of tools that will transform and modernize the organization. Key to this transformation includes embracing an ecosystem approach to software: use purpose-built tools, connected together, focusing on the member experience.
In this session, we’ll explore the key components of ASAE’s new technology stack including the Member Data Platform (MDP), Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), eCommerce platform, and other cloud-based solutions.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
- Understand the core components of a digital ecosystem approach.
- Learn about the use of iPaaS technology to enable integrations and the MDP for member data management.
- See ASAE’s solution architecture and learn why they are pursuing a non-traditional approach.
- Explore the idea of a phased approach to a digital infrastructure rollout.
