Real + Artificial Intelligence = Success: How to Collaborate Effectively in an Increasingly Automated World

May 8 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm EDT

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

While the concept of artificial intelligence (AI) has been around for almost 70 years, the dramatic entrance onto the tech stage of generative AI in 2022-23 with the release of large language model tools such as ChatGPT has taken the world by storm. Now almost every tech tool or platform appears to be ‘AI-based’ or ‘AI-powered’.  But diving into something just because it’s bright/shiny/new isn’t a sound strategy, and a tool in search of a solution rarely gets the job done. This session will explore how best to take advantage of recent advances in generative AI by thoughtfully applying such tools to help solve real world problems and advance your organization’s mission and vision. Generative AI is here to stay—and it is already changing the way we all work–but how you choose to use it can make all the difference in the world.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Keep informed about the ongoing evolution and development of AI applications (separating the truth from the hype).
  • Identify opportunities to increase productivity through the prudent use of AI tools.
  • Draft policies and practices to engage in ‘informed experimentation’ with AI products.
