W346: Facilitation Tips and Tricks: The Art of Helping Others Engage
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
New volunteer leadership and work environments have grown the need for conversations and meetings that focus as much on connection and listening as on the content presented. How do we engage each other better? The potential for connection exponentially increases when a meeting incorporates facilitation expertise in design and implementation. From the difference in the flow of a board meeting with a facilitator at the helm to how staff meetings in a hybrid environment still have space created for individual voices, we address real-life situations. Walk away with an increased knowledge of the theory of facilitation, a wider tool belt of approaches, the personalized experience of application and feedback, and emerge as a better facilitator.
